nvidia-prime software package provides Tools to enable NVIDIAs Prime, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nvidia-prime
nvidia-prime is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nvidia-prime package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nvidia-prime *
You will get with nvidia-prime package name, version, architecture and description in a table
